My name is Mar Delmar and I’m an artist from Barcelona currently living in Tarragona (Spain).
I have illustrated more than 20 books (Children and adult’s) and I have done work for Christian Louboutin, New York Times, Entertainment Weekly, Architectural Digest, Deloitte among others.
My work has been featured in newspapers, magazines and blogs around the world like The Guardian, Il Corriere Della Sera, Elle Magazine, Vein Magazine, Mashable, Buzzfeed, Frankie Magazine, etc. and featured in artist books like “Handmade Art” (Sandu Publishing, Xina), “Bad Dads” & “My neighbour Hayao” (Abrams Books, USA) and “Illustrated World” (Gustavo Gili, Spain).
I’ve collaborated with galleries like Spoke Art Gallery (SF and NYC), Galleries 1988 (LA), Copro Gallery (Los Angeles, EUA), Modern Eden Gallery (San Francisco, EUA), Flower Pepper Gallery (Pasadena, LA), Nucleus Gallery (California), Youn Gallery (Montreal, Canada), Boom Gallery (Victoria, Australia), Gorjfest Art Festival (Targu Jiu, Romania), etc. selling little dioramas and original artwork to collectors around the world.
I studied cinema and after graduate (in set decor and wardrobe) I worked in music videos and started illustrating Children’s books (circa 2008).
I previously signed as Mar Cerdà and for many years I created more than 20 books, worked with international clients and did art dioramas inspired by my travels, decor, my city architecture, cinema, spaces and atmospheres, etc.
I was well known for Wes Anderson’s inspired pieces [more] for some time and my work was featured in newspapers, magazines and blogs around the world.
